-Giant Rat-
A team of scientists from around the world recently found 40 new unidentified species of animals when they climbed to the top of Mount Bosavi, which is crater. They explored the jungle around it and found that in this three - kilometre wide crater was populated with many creatures. Creatures like birds of paradise and kangaroos which have adapted to live in trees. Although, there are no big cats and monkeys, the main predators are giant monitor lizards. Some new species found are; giant rats, fanged frogs, camouflaged gecko, and a fish called Henamo grunter.
